While some animals may be sexually mature at age 4, first breeding normally does not occur until later [0444]. One captive specimen reportedly lived to the age of 42 [0001]. There is also one mention to animals living up to 95 years [1146], but this has not been confirmed.
One wild specimen was found to be 25 years old when it was discovered, making it possibly the oldest specimen found in the wild [1371].
