- Mtbp is a positive regulator of Myc. Both male and female Mtbp+/? mice showed a 20% increase in median lifespan when compared to wild type mice. Mtbp+/? also showed increased maximal lifespan. Mtbp deletion had no effect on movement, production or development but did have increased metabolism and delayed tumour development.
